| Vanesa Stay is the founder of Latin Energy Dance in Toronto, Canada.
She started her dance training at the age of 5 at a private Ballet Institute in Argentina where she trained intensively for 7 years in Ballet, Flamenco, Jazz, Argentine Folk and Tango. By the age of 6, she was performing in Theaters. After moving to Canada, she continued dancing as a hobby & discovered salsa in January of '99 falling in love with the dance.
She began her training with local & international dance instructors by traveling to many salsa congresses around the world and taking workshops from renowned instructors such as Tito & Tamara from Puerto Rico, Super Mario from UK, Liz Lira from L.A. to name a few.
She has also trained in all styles of Argentine Tango with various instructors including Tango World Champion "Fabian Peralta" during her annual home trips to Argentina.
Vanesa has an extensive Latin dance training in Salsa, Argentine Tango and International Latin Ballroom. She's also the 2003 Vice World Champion at the "World Salsa Federation" Championships.
She has been in TV shows, commercials & movies such as "Take the Lead" with Antonio Banderas; "Death to Smoochy" with Danny Devito, TV Shows such as ”Mansions”, "Party Mamas", "Style by Jury", "DayTime Toronto", "DayTime Mississauga", "TO Latino", "Now What" and more.
She has also worked along-side of "So you think you can dance" & "Dancing with the Stars" dancers & judges such as Jean Marc Genereux & Tre Armstrong in many occasions.
Vanesa has performed during major concerts in Toronto such as "El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico", "Willie Colon", "Jose Albert El Canario", "Son De Cali", "Gilberto Santa Rosa" & more.
She also dedicates a lot of her time training kids to dance and compete for Instance Jenalyn & Raymond who have won first place in many competitions with Vanesa's choreographies.
Vanesa’s life and passion is dancing but she also has a diploma in computer science worked in IT a web developer / programmer for 10 years.
She now owns a well known Latin Dance School in Toronto where she dedicates most of her time teaching. As well she produces many large and popular events such as the Annual ConClave Competition & Dance Event hosted in association with Albert Torres Productions which is now the only Toronto "World Latin Dance Cup" Qualifier.
